“… from the dust where you are prostrate your words will come… and your speech will whisper from the dust.” (Isaiah 29:4)
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit…” (Psalm 34:18-22)
The Hebrew for “crushed” in spirit is dakkah (Strong’s) which means contrite or dust. The root verb, daka, is to break in pieces, bruise, destroy, smite, oppress, beat in pieces, humble. An example of this is Isaiah 53 speaking prophetically of Yeshua (Jesus) who was “… crushed (bruised) for our iniquities.” (vs 5)
Widow, there is One who knows your pain. There is One who chose to carry your grief. He is your Healer. His name is “Immanuel”, GOD with us. (Isaiah 53; 61:1-3, 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25)
Heavenly Father wants you to know, “(He) dwells on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite (dakkah) and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the contrite (daka).” (Isaiah 57:15)
The high and exalted One who is eternal will remold, remake, and revive the broken pieces, the dust, of your life. He is the Master Potter. You are in His hands!
