There is a barrage of decisions to be made, especially in the first days and months after the loss of a spouse. It’s consuming and intimidating. Accompanied with shock and grief, widows will even feel like, “I’m losing my mind!” It’s in these critical watershed moments that you must run to the LORD for help and wisdom. It’s in Him that we find Wisdom and Truth. (Psalm 46:1)
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)
The One who knows all things, including the heart and intent of all people, is the One who can guide you. He promises to cause all things to work together for your good if you love Him and seek to fulfill His purpose in your life. All things! This includes giving you Divine wisdom to handle your circumstances. (1 Chronicles 28:9, Romans 8:28)
The LORD will give you Heavenly wisdom if you seek to do His will. He will lead you in the right path. His wisdom is gentle. It is pure wisdom. Orderly wisdom. Reasonable wisdom that is full of mercy and good fruits. (Matthew 6:9-13, Jeremiah 29:13, Psalm 23:1-3, James 3:13-18)
Be at peace, let Him lead you!
